NORTHFIELD COUNCIL ON AGING/SENIOR CENTER

Philosophy

The Northfield Senior Center is a place for Northfield seniors, and those in surrounding communities, to come together to enjoy camaraderie, support, information and learning. Weekly and monthly programs provide opportunities for meals, music, day trips, workshops, support groups, informational presentations, community events and applications for assistance programs.

Vision Statement

The Northfield Council on Aging provides information, referral, educational and social opportunities for all seniors.

Mission Statement

The Northfield Council on Aging provides services to promote healthy aging of Northfield’s citizens age sixty and older.

Objectives:

  1. identify the total needs of the over 60 population of the community
  2. design, advocate, and/or implement service to fill these needs, and coordinate existing services
  3. educate the greater community of the vital role of this population 
  4. collaborate with local, state and national senior advocacy organizations

Value Statement

The Senior Center is inclusive: all persons, their guests, volunteers, and personnel are accepted as mutual members, regardless of race, color, sex, religion, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation or income.
