Senior Center Activities

Each week you will find us playing Bridge, Hand and Foot and Bingo. Is there a game you enjoy?  There's always a puzzle in progress that needs many hands.

Tuesdays brings the ROMEOs to us at 10:00 and we sing a long with them, all those favorite tunes.  Often on Mondays and Thursdays Betsy Llewellyn serranades us on the piano, or Shirley Thompson comes with her marvelous electric pianoor Betsy Llewellen keeps us hopping on our piano, especially on Brown Bag packing day. We always have surprise musical guests all year long.

Thursdays often has a program just before lunch.  These include slide presentations of a trip someplace in the world in which we learn about the culture, politics and history; it could be about a major event in the world that will give us a better understanding of the players; it could be pertinent information about health insurance, or other health issue; it could be information that will help us make informed decisions; it could be just a fun topic that is of interest to all.

The 1st and 3rd Friday of each month our Caregiver Support Group meets at 10:30, as we share the ups and downs of caring for someone else. We have currently suspended our meeting of The Table for all potluck for those who have lost a spouse, ever, to share in the journey and remind ourselves that, with a little help from our friends, we are resilient. If this is of interest to you, please call Heather at 498-2901 x114

Once a month we have the Kindergarten Class come down for our Generations of Fun. It is a great time for the generations to get together for a project and a snack.

Twice a month our nurse comes in to take blood pressures and trim toe nails.

Our SHINE rep is available for meetings by appointment, generally on the 4th Thursday of the month.

The 4th Friday of the month at 9:00 from January to May, and September -October is our "This is Your Town" breakfast with a topical speaker.

And then there are surprise visitors like John Davidson who stopped in to sing for us and graciously pose for photographs summer of 2014.

Each summer we host three (3) concerts in our pavillion boasting a wide variety of music. This is a wonderful intergenerational event, and the Creamy is open!

The van trips take folks to lunch, shopping or taking in the sights as well as doctor's appointments and other errands.
