Tax Collector/Treasurer

The Tax Collector/Treasurer is an appointed position by the Board of Selectmen.

Mission Statement

The Collector's Office is responsible for the billing, collection, processing and record keeping of all taxes, user charges and a multitude of miscellaneous receivables.

The Treasurer's Office is responsible for the collection of property, benefit assessments and current use penalties and all receivables due to the Town including taxes (real estate, personal property and motor vehicle excise) and special assessments; for the recording of all payments made to the Town, reconciling accounts and implementing procedures regarding delinquent taxpayers in accordance with local, state and federal policies, regulations and laws.
